It's the last license for the state of Louisiana and the plan is to build a 6th casino on the east side, due to open at the end of 2013. There is a 6th casino license that was just issued. A 2-mile walk will get you into each of the 5 casino floors. You can walk, drive, taxi, or shuttle between the 5 casinos. 2 boats on the west side of the river (Shreveport) and 3 on the east side (Bossier City). Shreveport/Bossier current has 5 riverboat casinos in downtown and a racetrack on the east side of town (very nice race track). A host gave me free room and invites to their NYE dinner and party. My last visit 1 week ago was over the New Years Eve weekend. I live in central Texas and drive to this location for the past decade.
